Unprecedented support for unprecedented times

Our daily routines have come to a stop – but that doesn’t mean we’re putting the future on hold!

The KAUST Young Talent Academy is launching in a virtual format to address the needs of Saudi Arabia’s brightest high school students as we navigate these uncertain times. The Academy is one-of-a-kind in the Kingdom. Our goal is to address learning and development gaps brought on by the pandemic by providing holistic support through robust academic courses, college prep, enrichment and personal development, extracurriculars, and more. We are forming a rich and lasting community. Our students will come out of this period stronger and more prepared than ever – with the skills, networks, confidence, edge and motivation to compete and thrive in a future that may look very different.

KAUST is here for you.

THE SUMMER

2020 ACADEMY

The summer will kick off with virtual programs for high school students who have been displaced from the residential 2020 Saudi Research Science Institute. Our goal is to address any learning and development gaps brought on by the pandemic, and ensure that none of our young Saudi stakeholders misses the opportunity to progress and grow during this time. We want students to come out of this period stronger and prepared with the skills, networks, confidence, edge and drive to succeed.

Philosophy & Approach

To prioritize the holistic development of the student, taking into consideration their full academic and personal journey and growth needs beyond the classroom.

Mission

To advance KAUST’s larger commitment to Saudi youth by offering the next generation unparalleled opportunities and support in their academic and personal journeys to becoming the nation’s future leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

Goals

  • To fill learning and development gaps brought on by the global pandemic, ensuring that none of our young Saudi students misses the opportunity to progress and grow during this time.
  • To produce alumni who are prepared with the skills and knowledge to contribute to the nation and the world in ways that will be most needed in a rapidly changing 21st century.
  • To give Saudi students an edge internationally, particularly as global education is disrupted, so that they remain competitive and equipped for the next phase of their journeys in higher education and the professional world.
